Malik Muhammad Akram

Master of Engineering (Irrigation and Drainage) from Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok, Thailand. He has over 35 years of professional experience in planning, designing, strategizing, coordinating, and implementing on farm water management projects. He designed and successfully implemented 23 foreign-assisted and PSDP/ADP funded development projects worth Rs.179 billion. He started his service career as Water Management Officer and served at various top positions such as Deputy Director (Headquarters), District Officer (OFWM), Deputy Project Director, Director (Headquarters), Director General Agriculture (Water Management), Director General Agriculture (Pest Warning & Quality Control of Pesticides), Director General Agriculture (Field) Punjab, and Project Director (PD) of nine foreign aided and PSDP/ADP funded national projects. He visited Thailand, Philippines, Australia, and Tanzania for knowledge exchange and technology transfer. He has been granted BS-21 by the Punjab Government in recognition of his meritorious services for the farming community and agriculture development in the country.
